Prince Galitzen state park. I haven’t been here since I was 13 years old. We came with my grandparents for a week or something. I don’t totally recall I just remember there were beavers at a dam and my sister, 16 months older than me, met a boy there. So here I am some thirty years later. I am camping by myself and the couple next to me is greatly impressed that I do this set up all on my own. I have to admit, I am too!
At this point it was my third solo trip and I have to say that being in this trailer with this big window kinda makes me feel like I have my own tv. I get to watch all the other campers right from this screen.
Here is what I have been watching.
Season One, Episode 01:
A dad who is kind of clumsy. I know this because the wife is constantly yelling at him that he is. Out of the three children, Keegan is the trouble maker of the family. I know this because I consistently hear them screaming his name. I know Ryland follows whatever Keegan does because her name follows shortly after yelling his. I know Jack is the dog and he runs after every trailer, bike and object with wheels. I also know the one kid has a scream so terribly high that only Jack can hear it. Oh, and I also know that Ryland likes her eggs dippy.
It’s funny how in just a few short days you can find out so much about a family you never even speak to. I wonder what they say about me? I suspect it might be, “Mom, is that creepy woman still looking out her window at us???”
I want to run credits over the window that read: Why, yes, yes I am.
To be continued…
