So, in case you didn’t know, I’m a certified life coach, creative coach, and Feng Shui consultant, and self-dubbed “Creative Alchemist.” It all came from a conversation turned epiphany I had with someone that went something like this:
Me: How are things going?
Her: Okay. I feel like I am getting there.
Me: Oh, that’s great. Where is “there”?
(A very long pause)
Her: Ha, I guess I don’t know.
It is so easy to get caught up in the self-improvement game and have no idea what or why you are doing it! Believe me, I know. I feel like I came into this world as a seeker/explorer/analyzer with a highly creative/imaginative/adventurous spirit. Once I started exploring all the self-reflection/improvement/stuff, I became even more confused/inquisitive/exhausted.
This conversation also reminded me of the “they’s.” When someone says: “Well, THEY say that…” Who is “they”? And why are there so many of THEM telling me how to do MY life? You know what I’m talking about!
Anyways, the reasons for the term creative alchemist came out of my own need to define what I was seeking for my own life, which was the desire to be living up to my highest potential (as defined by me). The mainstream approaches were failing me, and I needed to understand something I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Since words are super important to me, I figured if I could find a word to describe what I sought, I could locate myself on the map of me.
Well, I did find the words, and I am not “there” yet. And I hope you aren’t “there” either because, as far as I am concerned, “there” is just another way to keep ourselves stuck. We are only “here,” and this is a lifetime experience.
If that last paragraph didn’t make you click your way out of here, then good. Your obviously still here because you feel some of what I am talking about. You are here because you understand the magnitude of what it means to be here. You get that you need to have a “there” point as a goal, not as an obsession. Basically, you’re here because you get it. I am glad you stuck it out.
