Between the great food in Greece, Thanksgiving, and not being able to work out as much with my arm still bothering me (ugh!), I have officially gained five pounds. My clothes are slightly tighter than just TIGHT. I have resorted to using olive oil to slide into my jeans. Once I am in them, I can only stand and eat. It’s just not possible to sit down without risking disaster. Like popping a button or splitting at the seams.
It reminds me of when I foolishly went to France for a month in pants with only elastic waistbands. When I got home and put on my “real” jeans, it was like stuffing two baguettes into them. I still need to learn my lesson.
The good thing is all my paint clothes are recycled. As soon as something becomes too big for me, it goes into my paint clothes closet. Yes, I have an entire wardrobe dedicated to painting clothes. So if you see me in my holiday photos this year, most of my clothes will have paint on them, know this is on purpose.
I have also spent this month writing and doing more writing. November is National Novel Writing Month, or “NaNoWriMo” for short. It is an annual event in which participants attempt to write a 50,000-word novel in November. Guess what? I did it! Now, I am off to manifest an editor to publish.
What is the book about? It’s a novel about being a quirky, delightfully irreverent artist seeking true north and all the escapades, detours, and epiphanies that happen as she tries to stay the course. If that excites you and you wanna be in the know, then sign up for writing updates here.
One last thing. My Greece Pop Up Shop is closes at midnight on November 28th. If you haven’t made your way over there now is the last chance to do so. The artwork in it will NOT be available ever again. So there is that.
Okay, I hope your transition into December is smooth and you only need olive oil to cook delicious food, not fit into your jeans.
Until next time…
