Did you know that I love helping people with their creative projects? It’s so fun to watch someones eyes light up when they realize they CAN be creative. When they have made something they never thought they could. It’s an exciting moment for both of us!
I remember an individual who reached out to me asking if I could help her with an idea she had. She was looking for a particular piece of artwork for her house but couldn’t find anything she liked. She wanted to make her own but she said, “I have no creative talent so I don’t know if it’s possible”. Oh, it’s possible I thought!
I asked her to send me images of what she was inspired by. Once I saw her images I was able to decipher exactly what it was she was drawn to. People often have repetitive themes, colors and images in their taste. The explorer in me loves to map out these out for the client so they can SEE their own patterns.
After a few emails (and questions!) back forth we were able work together to design the perfect piece for her house. At this point I gave her an option I usually give: Do you want me to help guide you paint this or would you rather have me paint me? More often than not, people want to be the ones creating. I have a background in teaching and training so I love these clients! And, lucky for me, this woman wanted to have a go at it!
As an added challenge it had to be through virtual instructions, she was in another state than me. I made a creative plan and within a few weeks, she had her “first” and “favorite” piece of art hanging in her house.
Do you have a creative project you have wanted to take on for some time but you have been stalling because:
– You don’t know where to start
– You are not creative
– You don’t have the idea fully flushed out
– Insert whatever reason you have given yourself here and then …
Reach out to me and tell me how I can help you! I am here to support your creativity and I love working with people. So go on, send me an email, and tell me about your great creative ideas. Let’s see if we can’t bring your vision to life! It’s time.
